Ronco Communications is seeking a Microsoft Unified Communications Engineer. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Lync Server 2010 features; including instant messaging, presence, remote access, federation configuration, high availability, disaster recovery. Enterprise Voice, PBX integration, SIP trunks and/or third party audio, web, and video conferencing solutions and their integration with Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Applies knowledge and previous experience in Unified Communications technology to lead Microsoft Lync Server 2010 requirements analysis, design and architecture in the planning stages of a project
•Perform configuration, testing, and deployment of all Microsoft Lync Server 2010 roles and related technologies
•Contributes significantly in a research role, with some direct client interface, to the development, review and presentation of product capability, best practices, proposals, implementation and support services, project planning, and risk mitigation.
•Presales facilitation of customer presentations and requirements gathering.
•Stay current with new conferencing/collaboration technologies and architectures
•Review and analyze detailed project documentation and requirements documentation to ensure the solution meets the needs of our clients
•Analyze and interpret data captures, process output, and technical information to perform troubleshooting of lab or production environments
•Apply good time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks at the same time.
Desired Skills & Experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES TO QUALIFY FOR POSITION:
•Ability to design, implement, and manage VoIP solutions, Microsoft Exchange, Unified Messaging Microsoft Lync Server 2010, and Windows Server 2008 & 2008 R2
•Has participated in Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 consulting, implementation, and/or migration projects
•Candidates should have an excellent technical background with 3+ years of industry experience in Microsoft Office Communications Server and additional years of experience in messaging
•3+ years of direct client facing consulting experience
•Strong technical background in the area of Microsoft infrastructure, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 messaging, networking, storage, and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2008 R2
•Demonstrated ability to problem solve, identify alternative solutions, and communicate best practices
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Experience with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and familiarity with Microsoft Lync Server 2010
•BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and MCSE preferred
•Certifications related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and/or Microsoft Lync Server 2010 preferred
•Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft’s messaging and collaboration products, including Exchange Unified Messaging
•Experience with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, PBX’s and other telecommunications provider solutions desired
•Strong research skills, excellent interpersonal skills in working with others
•Professional presentation and communications skills
